The think to know if you are travelling by car is that the permits are not valid only for a few miles after crossing the board. If you don’t want to have problems you need to know that at every border or short after there are offices that will release permits. you need to be careful with the permit though, because this needs to be cancelled once you leave the country in the same offices in which you got it, because if not the authorities will consider that you are still in the country and this will lead to penalties and even to the possibility of obtaining another permit when you wish to go to Mexico again.
If you don’t want to drive to Mexico but you still prefer to take the trip be land there are a lot of buses that are leaving from different locations in USA with different destination in Mexico.
While crossing the border with Mexico there are the immigration officers that will check your papers. Usually they are moving very fast but in order to help the traveler should also prepare all the documents that they know are required. Of course, plane is the easiest and the fastest way to travel and you need to know that in the season time the tickets are more expensive.
